Personal Portable Lighting
ASF's mini--PCL is an extension of the company's current line of reading lights. With over two million reading/computer lights sold and thirteen years of
miniature lighting experience , ASF knows lights.
The mini--PCL (Palmtop Computer Light) is the newest of the company's lights. It's about 4 inches long, 2 inches wide, about an inch thick, and requires two AA
batteries. The light itself is mounted at the end of telescoping neck that automatic- ally illuminates when it's lifted more than 35 degrees. The neck of the unit
raises a full 90 degrees, while the head itself can be rotated 360 degrees. Included with the unit are two extra bulbs and the total of three will last a very long
The unit as a package comes with a nice black carrying case, a set of instructions for attaching it to a PDA and enough velcro. To install the light, you need to
attach a piece of the soft velcro to the back of the Pilot. Next, you attach an included plastic frame to the velcro. What you end up with is a Pilot with a two-inch,
plastic frame hanging off of the top. Finally, slide the light into the frame and telescope the neck to go. When fully attached and lit, your Pilot is about two
inches longer but no wider and you can use your Pilot at night.
