Just thought I'd pass this along. It's a script to somewhat "automate" the installation of files on a palm (or any other PDA using pilot-xfer). Let me know if it works for you or doesn't. Just thought I oughta share this with everyone else... #----------------Cut here ----------------------# #!/bin/sh echo Pausing for 10 seconds to let you press the HotSync button on the Palm! echo If the button is not pressed, the command will error out! sleep 10 if [ $# -gt 0 ]; then cp "$@@" ~/.palm/install/ else while read line do echo Copying $line to ./palm/install/ cp $line ~/.palm/install/ done fi if [ ! -e ~/.palm/install ]; then mkdir ~/.palm/install fi echo Installing onto Palm \(/dev/ttyUSB1\) from ~/.palm/install if [ ! -e ~/.palm/install/* ]; then echo No files to install! exit fi pilot-xfer -i /home/dingodave/.palm/install/* export errcode=$? if [ $errcode -ne '0' ]; then echo Error $errcode returned else if [ ! -e ~/.palm/installed ]; then mkdir ~/.palm/installed fi mv ~/.palm/install/* ~/.palm/installed echo DONE! fi
