The 'cradle stations' that we will be setting up in our organization will be Win2K machines with multiple users on each. I think the best way to ask this question is to give my scenario.
-I log in as myself(administrator). I installed the Palm Desktop software, everything is working great, communication with the cradle is good, no problem. I created a test account(user) and tried to open the Palm Desktop Software. It would not run, I got an error message just trying to open it. I also tried to sync while logged in with the test account. It would not sync because the Hot Sync software was not recognizing the USB. It only showed Local Serial.
The way I ended up getting around it was login with the test account and reinstall the Palm Desktop and Hot Sync Manager using that account. After that, it worked for both users.
Question is: Have you guys run into this problem? Does the software need to be installed separately for every Win2K user on that machine?
