I want to buy a Palm or Visor for a friend (running Windows 98)...I need to stay cheap, so I'm looking at buying a used black & white model. I don't want to become a tech expert on all the minor spec details (though I could understand them, I'm proficient with computers...I just don't have much time), but I do want to gain a little education before buying. Can anyone help with a little high-level advice? All it needs to be able to accomplish is basic calendaring, note-taking, and address book. Obviously more is always better, but since price is a big concern for me, I'm willing to aim quite low. What am I looking for? A Palm, a manual, a s.w. CD, and a cradle? Are those the basic essentials? Are there any models I should particularly be looking for, or particularly trying to stay away from? And if so, can you tell me why they're especially bad/good (feel free to spout tech specs here)? Can you list any recommended models for me to be chasing after? I'm looking for Palm III? Or something lower? You tell me :P Besides eBay, can you recommend any particular places for me to be shopping at? Thanks. Jason you can email me directly...my username is ctjay and I'm @zdnetonebox.com
