I was wondering if there is a device that I can use when I travel that is wireless, gets and sends email, and can store a few documents or can have a disc inserted. Thanks, ELLEN

Post Subject: wireless internet

well, to be honest, there is no way you can be on the internet without a connection...although im sure within a year or so, you will be able to walk around anywhere and everywhere with a laptop and be connected... you can buy a home WIFFI card for your laptop, so you can walk around your house, but you cant take it with you out of the house,,for you will loose the connection.. hope this helped.. http://www.laptopkings.com www.laptopkings.com

There are a number of companies like Arm computers, Dell Computer Corp. and many others offering the laptops. The TS3100 Series of ARM Computer provides 6X DVD-ROM and a large 14.1" XGA Active Matrix Color screen. Combined with 3D AGP 2X (Advanced Graphics Port) Graphics Accelerator boasting 8MB SGRAM, this notebook can process the video and graphics applications. The TS3100 Series features internal memory that's expandable to 256MB SDRAM via two slots. Furthermore, it is designed to accommodate a choice of high speed modular 6X DVD-ROM or 24X CD-ROM in the Smartbay. The second Smartbay is designed to house a 3.5" FDD or a LS-120 drive. You can surf the internet with the built-in 56K V.90 Data/Fax Modem, or connect various communication devices via 2 Type II PC card slots, USB and infrared ports. If you want to see similar models of laptops from different companies, it is better you go to solveit.com. There you can compare different companies products at a stretch. I have gone through this site when i was suggested for the barcode scanners of different types.
