Subject: International Date problems

Since moving to Singapore in mid 1997, I have had real problems with my Palm Pilot preserving the correct dates that I enter appointments for. When I initially changed the Windows NT system time from PST to GMT +8 (Singapore Time) All my appointments for the entire history in my PP were restated 16 hours earlier. It is as if the PP was trying to change the appointments to reflect the offset of when they really happened (local time) and when they happened in Singapore. This seems like a really big programming oversight. If I attend an apppointment at 1 PM Monday February 8th 1999 in Singapore, Then I move back to the US 6 months later, I expect that when I serach for old appointments I am not going to find that the appointment I attended that Monday a 1 PM to now show up as having occurred at 9PM Sunday night on Feb 7 1999. Yet that seems to be exactly what the PP is doing. It also seems as if the PP Desktop Software v.3 is what is causing this. Has anyone else out there noticed this type of thing happening and if so have you found a solution to the problem?
